The Caged Bird Sings

Their I was, at the park, watching a basketball game, with my friends. The game was going strong. The game was back and forth. Two hours later, when the game finally ended, with a score of 35-34, it was time. Time for what, you ask. Time for the contest. The singing contest. I was always told I had a rotten voice. I'll prove them wrong. There were about 50 kids there, waiting for their opportunity to sing. It was my turn to sing. I choose the song Girls, Girls, Girls by Motley Crue. I dedicated this song to my girlfriend, who was among the other singers. I sang my heart out. When all 50 kids finished singing, the winner was announced. "And the winner of the singing contest is… Sheen. Come on down to get your trophy." I did it, I won. I showed the world that I could sing. Okay, after that I did some gloating. Okay, lots of gloating.

"Ha, Ha. You guys thought I couldn't sing. I showed you" said Sheen, proudly.

"You can't sing. You just got lucky. Life when you took my part in the chorus at the library opening. That was luck too" said Cindy, jealously.

"Hey, I helped stop that giant twonkie, remember. Besides, that was a reward. This was just talent" said the still proud Sheen.

"Talent, more like divine intervention. Sheen, you couldn't sing well if your life depended on it" said Jimmy, mockingly.

"Your all just jealous because I won the singing contest and you all lost! If you don't appreciate my talents, I'll never sing again, or help save the town" said Sheen, angrily.

"Sheen, calm down. I appreciate your singing. You just need to practice a little more, that's all" said Libby.

"Practice! I don't need to practice! My singing is good just the way it is!" shouted Sheen.

"Sheen, calm down!"

"NO! I won't calm down.

"Shut up!"

"NOOOOO!"

To calm Sheen down, Libby kisses him. Sheen shuts up instantly and returns the favor. When the are done "making out" Sheen asks, "What was that for?"

Libby answers, "To calm you down. You were hysterical. Now why don't you come to my house so we can do that for a little while longer".

"Okay!"

They walk hand and hand to Libby's house, leaving Carl, Jimmy, and Cindy at the park with disgusted looks on their faces.

"That was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen" said Cindy.

"Surprisingly, I agree. However, when I'm older, I'll probably do that with a girl too" said Jimmy.

"Why do you start right now" said Cindy.

Surprisingly, Cindy kisses Jimmy, and more surprisingly, he returns the favor. When their done "making out", they walk hand and hand to Cindy's house to do that for longer, leaving Carl at the park alone. He starts thinking.

I want to do that with a girl too. I need a girlfriend. Well we all knew this was going to happen anyways. Jimmy and Cindy were going to end up together. Sheen and Libby were going to end up together. I was destined to end up by myself. For now!
