"Core, we haven't had a gig in weeks, give it up!"

"Don't say that Lanes, we are good! It's just those stupid Newmons."

And then, as if on cue, the rival band walked by laughing. Laney and Corey watched in silence. It was the sixth gig they'd lost that month. Trina was out of the country on some retreat and most of grojband didn't even show up to practice anymore.

"Well maybe if you could get some lyrics of your own, without trina's diary, then we wouldn't be stuck in this mess!" Laney argued.

Corey sighed in defeat. Laney frowned, "Core, you know I didn't mean it. You got some great lyrics, you just have to..."

Corey looked up, curious, "What?"

Laney kept quiet for a second searching for the right words, "Find inspiration!" She said as she smiled at the sudden idea.

"Inspiration?" Corey chuckled then thought about it a second. "How?"

Laney's heart couldn't help flutter , Corey Riffin was asking her, her for advice.

She blurted out, "me!"

Corey couldn't help look puzzled, Laney tried to not make eyecontact as he stared. "Y-yanno, um, we could do something really fun or something you've never done before and you could sing about it or something." Laney's face had to be red at this point in embarrasment.

Corey looked at laney grinning his grin, "Yeah that totally sounds like fun! but what?" he waited for the remainder of her plan but truthfully she was completely winging it.

"W-Well um..." there was an idea that ran through her head but she couldn't say it.

"Got any ideas,in particular Lanes?" Now she got him all riled up, he was excited about this plan. And with her nickname being said, she couldn't help blush harder when she finally got the courage to say it.

"Well have you had your first kiss yet?" She said

Corey almost looked stunned, and now he was the one blushing. "Oh, um, no. Not yet."

They both avoided eye contact now, "W-Well we could always do that..." Laney said shyly wit a small smile.

"Yeah I guess." He said looking up shyly "That is if you want to I mea-"

"Oh pfft yeah I mean only if you think it's..." They were both rambling at the same time now, they both soon realised this and looked up at each other. Things suddenly got really quiet. "okay." Laney said finnishing her sentence.

She soon noticed corey moving closer to her; slowly but surely she did the same until their lips met. His lips were so soft; they both closed their eyes to focus on the sensation. After about 5 seconds within the kiss they pulled apart.

Laney was the first to open her eyes to see a blushing Corey still in bliss. She couldn't help but giggle that caused Corey's eyes to flutter open fully.

"S-So is that enough inspiration,Core?" Laney smiled shyly.

Corey rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah, yeah... but maybe we should kiss again just to make sure"

They smiled at each other laughing awkwardly.

"Alright."
