From Double Sting, the last episode of season one (and because of the way I posted, the last vignette I have for the episodes), this one takes place right after Colt takes off in the "stolen" General Lee. And again, the relationship started before the episode, but I can't say when.
They're cooling their heels. Bo's got to get literal about it, boots off and feet in the creek. They've got time, but his cousin doesn't have to go being so casual about everything. Double fisted feeding and sunning himself like a snake at first light. Fortifying himself for the task at hand. Or for a good nap.
"Now, let's see. Cooter said there was three guys with shotguns?" Bo's showing off his listening comprehension skills. Luke reckons a grunt will tide him over to his next brilliant revelation. "You don't need me. You can handle it." Puts his hands behind his pretty head and stretches out to full length.
"Left-handed."
Jesse's coming to get them. Can't be more than fifteen minutes away from the creek now. Another fifteen to Bubba's shack and then maybe ten after that to finagle a surrender out of the bank robbers. Fifteen more and they can be back here. Less than an hour, all told.
He can wait.
Bo, apparently, can't. Pauses only until the lunchbox is stowed at Luke's side to grab at his hand and yank him off balance. Before he knows it, Luke's just about sprawled across Bo's chest.
It'll pass. Like every new toy he gets, Bo is enamored of Luke right now. Next week he'll be after anything in a skirt, but in this moment, he's got nothing better to do than find a handhold in Luke's hair and pull him down for a kiss.
"Jesse's coming," Luke reminds him, first time he gets possession of his own lips.
Bo shrugs. "He'll be a few minutes."
"Which might be enough time for you," Luke reminds him. "But not me. So just put your dang boots on."
Bo shoves him away, sits up and actually presents Luke with his back. Maybe it's a good thing he's chosen to spend more time with a real man. Bo's been with so many girls that he's starting to act like one.
"Bo," he reasons. "Put on your boots. We'll go save Daisy and be back within an hour, all right?"
All that time with girls and he's obviously picked up on their beauty tips. Bo has never looked as pretty as he does right now, head twisted to look over his own shoulder, sun shining through all that blonde fluff.
"Promise?" he asks, and Luke wants to laugh. Leans forward from where he's sitting and kisses Bo instead.
"I promise," he answers. Now maybe his cousin will be motivated to do some honest work.
