Corruption
A Steven Universe fanfiction.
Chapter 1: Introduction.
Peridot slowly moved her hand away from her mouth, tasting her own alien blood on her lips. She also looked at it on her lime hand. "L-Lapis . . ." She mumbled, witnessing the site of Lapis limply laying on the ground 5 feet away from herself. Her eyes became blurry, and pastle blue tears dripped down her eyes traveling to her cheeks. The diamonds loomed before them, scowling down upon them. Yellow Diamond pointed an open hand at Peridot. "Any last words?"
Peridot looked up at her, pure hatred in her eyes. "I hope you rot in hell."
And with that, Yellow shot a beam towards her.
It had all started when Steven left with Aquamarine and Topaz to confront the diamonds, only to never return. Homeworld eventually came for Earth, killing and abducting humans. Amethyst had come to the barn to warn Peridot and Lapis.
"WHAT?!" Lapis cried "Steven . . . no. No!" She collasped on the wood floors of the barn, tears running down face. "Damn it . . . Steven, why'd you have to do it? Why did you have to get yourself killed?" Amethyst mumbled as she placed her fist on the barn wall. Peridot stood there, dumbfounded. "It's my fault. . ." She quietly admitted. "Peri, its no one's fault-" "IT'S MINE!" Peridot yelled, slamming her fist into the wall. "I gave them the coordinates and they sent them here! They captured Steven and its all my fault! I wish I wasn't a stupid goddamn Homeworld gem!" Peridot fell to her knees and curled her arms around them. "We'll avenge him, Peri. We have to save this planet. I'll shatter Blue Diamond myself if I have to." Lapis stated, pulling herself off the floor and looking up to the sky. "But, in the meantime, we have to lay low." She held a hand out for Peridot to grab. She quickly felt Peridot grab her hand and pull herself up. "And when the time is right, we'll fuse." Lapis said, making Peridot and Amethyst's eyes widen. "Lapis, your not serious . . . not after Malachite." Lapis winced at the thought of Malachite and Jasper, but quickly buried the thought. "I don't care about that. All I care about .
. . is fusing with some gem I care about." Lapis bent over and kissed Peridot's gem, causing the small gem to blush. Amethyst chuckled. "Heh. I knew it." She said.
"Knock it off." Lapis said, smiling for probably the last time.
