Yukimura Seichi's Love

Disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis or Negima.

Yukimura Seichi, the feared captain of Rikkai Dai, lay in one of the hospital beds. It was so cold and unfeeling, this room. How he wished he could be with his team and helping them become stronger. Instead, he was stuck here, recovering still from surgery.

"Yukimura-kun, you have a visitor. Would you like to see her?" Suddenly, the nurse's voice crackled over the intercom, breaking the monotony of the silent room.

"Hai," Yukimura replied, his heart silently giving a lurch of happiness.

The door opened quietly. A young girl stepped into the room, long black bangs swaying after her. Her eyes were big and kind, filled with kindness. A soft and gentle aura surrounded her. Delicate she appeared to be, but Yukimura knew that she was the type of person willing to sacrifice anything for her friends. Her name was Konoka. Konoka Konoe, Yukimura's girlfriend.

The two had first met when Sanada had brought her along with her "bodyguard," Setsuna. Apparently, Setsuna and Sanada had met each other at a dojo before and were well acquainted with each other. Konoka had come along due to curiosity. Something Yukimura was glad that she had come because otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to meet and fall in love with such a girl.

At first, Konoka came to see him out of curiosity and pity. But later, she came as a result of self-desire. This he knew due to her answer when he had asked her once why she always came right before surgery.

As the two saw each other more and more, Yukimura liked her more and more. Konoka had the kind of personality that made you love her. She was genuinely kind and always looked out for her friends. She was not like the fangirls at his school at all; while they were noisy and psychotic sometimes, Konoka was not like that at all. She was quiet and was elegant, refined.

The day he had found out about her healing abilities was once when an injured bird landed on Yukimura's windowsill. Konoka had been moved by its pitiful attempts to take off once more and since she saw that Yukimura was seemingly asleep, healed him. However, the said boy had not been asleep and had seen it all.

When he found out about her magic abilities in healing, Yukimura had been astonished at first, then realized that it didn't really change his opinion of her. Rather, it just further showed how kind and loving Konoka was. It was also at that point that he realized that his feelings for Konoka extended beyond just friendship.

On a rare chance that he got to go out, Yukimura asked Konoka out on a date. She had accepted and the two had gone to the mall, a café, and the park, finally ending up at the street tennis courts. It was at the street tennis court that Yukimura had confessed his feelings for Konoka. And it was there when he found out that Konoka felt the same way about him. For in the end, her constant visits had ended up as her desire to see him as a result of love.

In truth, in the beginning, Yukimura had been stunned that Konoka returned his feelings. Why? Because he was such a trouble sometimes. How much times must he be taking away from her? Surely, she had better things to do than visit him at the hospital. From what she had said, Konoka had some very good friends whom she loved being with. How much of their time must her be taking up with her hospital visits. But that day, at the tennis courts, she had merely responded to this by saying that it was her wish to always be at his side.

Now, despite the fact he was still in recovery and unable to play tennis still, Yukimura was grateful for life. It had given him such a wonderful friends, tennis, and most of all, a beautiful girlfriend such as Konoka.

Now, with Konoka here by his side, the hospital room didn't seem so cold.
