Dean remembers the time Sam had his first picture taken. It was his twelve week ultrasound, and it's Dean's earliest childhood memory. John wasn't there. Dean remembers the time when Sam was born, and Dean promised him that he would 'be the bestest big brother'. John wasn't there. Dean remembers the time when Sam first smiled. Sam looked up at him and smiled. John wasn't there. Dean remembers when Sam said his first word. Ean as Sam wouldn't pronounce D yet. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first day of Pre-Kindergarten. Sam begged Dean not to let him go, and it broke Dean's heart. John wasn't there. Dean remembers when Sam first learnt how to ride a bike. Sam fell off four times before he could ride without Dean's help. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first day of Kindergarten. Sam tried to lie and pretend to be sick. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first day of first school. Sam had been so excited and ran though the doors. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first friend. His name was Chad. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first day at middle school. Sam was nervous although he pretended not to be. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first soccer game. Sam scored the winning goal. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first hunt. Sam broke his arm and was so scared he wet himself. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first day of high school. Sam threw up, he was so scared but he wouldn't let Dean keep him home. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first girlfriend. Her name was Hailey. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first kiss. It was with Hailey outside school. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first wet dream. Sam was hiding in the bathroom as he didn't understand what happened. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first kill. Sam had nightmares about it for weeks. John wasn't there. Dean remembers the first time Sam had sex. Dean walked into the motel room when Sam and a girl called Rachel were doing it. John wasn't there. Dean remembers Sam's first day of College. He carried Sam's bag up to his room. John wasn't there.
Author's Notes: Just Dean remembering some important days about Sam, all of which John wasn't around for. John did neglect his sons. This is my first drabble, so no flaming please. I know it's a little long for a drabble, but it's too short for a one shot.
