I Will Always Be With You
Summary: A little fragment about Skye's father. Though he never showed up in her previous lifetime, he still loved her.

It's autumn again.
He had lived without her for 24 autumns .
She had been taken from him for 24 years.
He still remembered the day when she came to this world, welcoming him with her little gorgeous smile. At that time, he felt the world beautiful, as the god had sent him the most winsome baby girl.
Skye.
No, that's not even her name.
Outside the window, the wind were blowing heavily, shaking the branches furiously. A flock of crows were wheeled over that old tree's boughs, whining hysterically.
He signed. He always wondered what it would be like if she was still with him. He always wondered if she would have a better life with him. He always wondered if she still thought he was a monster.
In his mind, the answer was obvious. Yes, she could have a different fate. She could have a normal and happy child life, like other kids did. She would never think he was a monster.
Not only because that was also what she was, but also she could understand him. The essential of him, of their family.
If only she could be with him.
He took a sip of tequila, smiling bitterly at himself. Then he grabbed that photo of her, gazing at her. She looked young, cheerful, chic. That was his daughter. He was kind of proud of her.
He walked out of the room, putting the obelisk in a box. She now was with that Phil Coulson, who was currently trying to pursue him and preventing her from having a conversation with him. Coulson was his enemy. He was a common enemy he had with Hydra.
That's not the point, however. What mattered most were his daughter and her safety.
He had been searching for her for 24 years. And now he finally made it. No matter how she thought about him, how she hated him for not being with her when she needed her parents most. He just wanted her to know that he cared her much, so much that he could make any sacrifice for her. Even when he was not beside her, he would always be with her, watching her back in the dark, in his own way.
He left the house, driving the car to Hydra, making his deal with Hydra so as to keep her safe.
