Christine's pov
I can't believe I escaped Erik for good if he ever thought I loved him he is wrong. I love Raoul when I got to the doors of the opera. Raoul picked me up, and, we went to my cousin's house her name is ridley she is a beautiful caster and a light caster too. My claiming is on June twenty-ninth my sixteenth birthday. Ive read the stories in both the book of stars and the book of moon's and I can claim myself now. The reason is that when my sister Lena's claiming came our uncle Macon sacrificed himself so that the curse could be paid. I want to be both that way everybody wins. But if and ever Erik wishes to be at my claiming which I have twenty-eight days toward I wish that he finds another girl to love and I pray that he does hopefully. I will get to ridley's in time and Erik is happy with my choice. I wrote him a letter saying this
My darling wonderful Erik I now know that you cannot love another girl and I pray that you can do it by yourself. My father once told me that if you wish to escape or get away you have to believe in yourself and do it. I know that you can heal yourself just believe and you will.
