After the battle of Hogwarts on May 2, 1998, it was told that Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger moved on. It has been told that Hermione and Ron got married, and that Harry married Ron's sister, Ginevra Weasley. It was even said that they all had children. That story is a lie.
Hermione Granger tried to find her parents after the war. She found them, but she could not undo the memory charm that she had earlier on placed on them. This broke her more than she cared to admit. Hermione stopped speaking to Ron and Harry, starting to believe that it was their fault that she had to place the charm on her parents, rather than blame herself. She also started to blame many of the death eaters, becoming a sort of bounty hunter, rounding up, capturing, and killing any escaped death eaters.
Ronald Weasley lost his family in the war. He didn't lose all his family to death, but for the lack of trying. The Weasleys were all so broken after the war, after losing Fred, they couldn't hold themselves together. Molly Weasley always broke down crying whenever she saw George Weasley without his twin Fred, and so George stopped coming around. Ginevra couldn't handle seeing her mom broken, and moved out. Percy blamed himself for Fred's death, and wouldn't speak to anyone. Arthur threw himself into his work, and eventually Ron left, not being able to stand anymore of the Murky Tension that had filled the Burrow. He joined in the Muggle war, and further after, began to work in private for the U.S. military.
Harry Potter had nothing left. After the war was over, he was a hero, reveled by all. He didn't like having the attention from the whole of the wizarding world; though not from the two people he cared about more than anyone. Early after, he tried to reconnect with Ginevra Weasley, but it didn't work. She dumped him right before she left the Burrow to not be seen again. To avoid all the attention, he returned also to the Muggle world, getting a degree and masters, and began to teach at a University.
The Trio did not believe they would ever meet again, and they were quite right. Until April 28, 2017, almost nineteen years later, the trio did not meet.
