To say that this summer had been a challenge is an understatement, my summer was all about the fates throwing every bad thing they could think of into my life and leaving me to deal with the wake of destruction. I found out I have a quarter sized tumor growing in my right foot that might develop into cancer one day, my mom got engaged (not that that is a bad) but he made us move all the way to the tiny reservation that he came from called La Push from Texas, and in turn I have to leave my friends, my dance team, and my all-star cheer team. Right now I was on my way to my new home in La Push, Washington, I had just gotten in a taxi from the airport in Seattle and was heading right to a party that would be happening in my own back yard, a welcome/engagement party for my mom and I, and right now I was running late. I mean it was not my fault that my all-star cheer team had just won Worlds at Disney World and we wanted to celebrate, its not like I wanted to move, I just wanted to be with all my friends! My mom said to dress kind of fancy and kind of casual since there would be quite a number of people, so I was wearing a powder blue dress with cherry blossom branches, I hoped that I had not dressed to fancy. I was very worried to show up, I know the party had already started and I am very shy around new people. The taxi driver interrupted me from my thoughts telling me that I had arrived at my destination, helped my with my bags and left me in the dust, I watched the taxi till it turned down the street and turn to walk up the side walk. The door opened before opened before I could reach for the handle, my mom pulled me through the thresh hold with a hug, but the lecture would come sooner or later. "Where have you been young lady, do you know how late you are," there it is, I could chatter in the other room so she was wispier yelling at me. I was so not in the mood so I just smiled and took it and tried not to make a scene. "Okay mom, I'm sorry I just got up in the party, it was so amazing." She hurried me along to the dinning room; it was beautiful and huge (I could not wait to see the rest of the house). All he people in the room quieted and look our way, about 25 people, I studied the people down the row, at the start of the row was my stepfather-to-be followed by a bunch of really tall, tan, buff people, a few of tan elders, a few native girls, and at the end of the row were a bunch of super pale people. At the end of the line was a girl about my age that looked really familiar. "Renae!" the girl jumped out of her chair, "its me Renesmee from the New Mexico dance competition." OMG I remember this chick she was an awesome dancer from a competition I went to about a month ago, we got really close. "Nessie, I did not know you lived here" she led me to the open chair next to her, "my day just got so much better!" I did not know how much better my life would get till I looked up across the table into the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes. There were some audible gasps around the table but I didn't understand what they did that for. I still could not take my eyes off the beautiful creature staring right back at me.
