The sweet nectar of life flows through me. Memories passing through my mind. As I drank the life source of the girl ,I felt incredibliy guilty.I was taking away her life to substain my own .The girl in my arms,she was a mere stanger-someone I didn't know but even then I felt bad doing what I was doing .Her pulse was weakening ,she was on the verge of dying but she was fighting –she didn't want to. I realized I couldn't read her thoughts but she was still alive. Was it a miracle? I stopped drinking from her because it was extraordinary how I couldn't read her thoughts.I had to save her.I quickly sucked my own venom out of her system and ran full speed to my home.I laid her to rest on my bed and wished her a very good night ,planting a kiss on her forehead and grabbing a pen and paper I wrote 'I'm sorry for last night.I'll explain everything to wait for me "I retreated out of the bedroom to look for another prey ,I was still hungry.

I returned home quickly because I knew the girl would be confused of where she was.I entered my home,I saw the sun was rising so I quickly got inside before anyone could see my shining skin-which was our weakness,It didn't let us come out in the sun and blend in like regular people.I went up the stairs full speed and opened my bed room girl was pacing-she was worried.

"You're gonna wear a hole into the floor if you don't stop pacing"I said,chuckling

She didn't notice that I was in the room so she was surprised when I talked . She shrieked and turned around to face me.

"You said when you got here,you would explain everything to me"she said

She wanted answers;and she wanted them now.I didn't want to give her answers in fear that she would run away.I was stalling because I knew once I told her what she wanted to know she would run out the door screaming bloody murder and I wouldn't stop her.

"I'll tell you everything but first-you must be hungry right?"I asked-stalling

"I'm a bit hungry but I don't want to be a burden"she said,blushing

"Don't worry ,It's been awhile since I've cooked for someone "I said

We walked down the stairs to my kitchen and I started to prepare her a omelet.

She looked at me confused."Don't you eat?"

"Yes, I eat but not human food"I told her

Right then, she realized I wasn't human"What are you?"

"I wish I could tell you but I'm afraid if I tell you ,you'll run away screaming"I told her

" I promise,I won't run away"she said

"I'm a creature of the night,drinking people's life source to substain my own,acting human by day and being completely evil at night.I'm a monster and I hate myself for that"I said

"You're a vampire?"she asked

"That is what humans call them"I responded

After she finished eating,I led her to my living room and we sat on the couch.

"What happened last night?"She asked

"I was outside the bar last night.I was searching for my next prey,when I saw 're blood,it smelled like the most delicious thing I've smelled on earth.I had to have your blood.I stalked you for the night and when you came outside to go home ,I attacked.I was blissfully sucking away your life source,whenI realized I couldn't read your're one of a kind.I stopped and bought you home and left to find another prey.

"So the only thing that saved me was my brain and how you can't read it"She laughed
