back - A Carby drabble by Andie
Disclaimer: I don't own Abby and Carter.
Setting: 10x01. Carter's back from the Congo.
Abby woke up in the middle of the night as she felt someone's lips touching her cheeks.
So
many evenings, she would cry herself to sleep because she missed John
so much.
So
many nights she had dreamt that the man who she loved had come home.So
many nights she would hug her pillow, thinking it was Carter who had
come back.
So
many mornings, Abby would wake up alone, realizing that it was
nothing but one of those dreams.
But tonight was real. Carter had really returned.
"Abby," Carter said softly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I love you. "
At first, she wanted to scream at him. She wanted to be mad at him for having left although she begged him to stay. But at the same time she just wanted to hug him and never let him go again for she was glad that Carter was alive an well.
Eventually, her lips curled up into a smile. "It's okay, " Abby managed to say.
Carter lowered his mouth to hers and kissed her, tasting the sweetness of her lips.
"Promise you won't hurt me again? " Abby asked, breaking the kiss.
"Never ever again. I love you so much... I will never leave you again. " He said hoarsely.
Abby's eyes twinkled as she gazed at him. "I love you too, Carter, " she spoke up, loosing herself in his warm brown eyes.
They fell into each other's arms, overwhelmed by their emotions. She pulled him closer and their lips met again in a full and passionate kiss...
