Masks
Cover my face
I am everyone, I am no one
My heart grew still long ago
Weighed down by emptiness
Pain
My mask covers the emotion
Covers my tears
I have lost so much that I cannot recover
My innocence
My heart
My own name
Yet another piece of me dies
As I once more don the mask of war
Hollow
For I cannot stop
And I can not cry
My other mask must cry for me
And you
You shed tears that I cannot
And somehow you see through the masks
You see me, the real me beneath my masks
And give me a name
Brother.
