The newly founded Rebel Alliance has just won a major victory against the Galactic Empire. In a secret laboratory on Kamino, the Emperor's chief enforcer Darth Vader has been captured following a duel with Starkiller, the renegade Sith Apprentice who has pledged loyalty to the rebellion that his predecessor helped create.
Although Vader's imprisonment on the Rebel fortress of Dantooine gives the Alliance a significant advantage, the crafty bounty hunter Boba Fett has tracked the rebel fleet to their hidden base, allowing the Empire to launch a potentially deadly attack on the small band of freedom fighters.
Elsewhere, Emperor Palpatine has brought forth a new threat to Starkiller and his allies, a threat that is both familiar and unknown. The emperor plots to eliminate the troublesome clone once and for all and use his mysterious new Apprentice to crush the Rebel Alliance forever...
