A/N: This is my first story I've ever published (or even finished). I have a somewhat permanent case of writer's block, but this just came to me one day, so here it is. I hope somebody likes it.:)

This was, of course, all Ruby's fault. However much Weiss had grown to like, and even respect the younger girl since they had become partners, Ruby still had a tendency to expose her team to unnecessary dangers, and was, thus, still a hazard to the heiress's health.

Ruby had insisted upon going into the forest despite the rain and near freezing temperatures. As such, they had been at this since morning, fighting (and losing against) an invisible adversary, and it was now dark.

Weiss prided herself on being able to handle most anything, but this time she was in over her head, and, as her teammates were on the edge of conciousness, she knew she was on her own.

The hair stood up on the back of her neck as her breath caught in her throat. Weiss's eyes shot open as she quickly searched her surroundings. She could feel the attack coming, but couldn't find her target. As she began to panick slightly, her eyes found theri mark, but it was too late.

Her head snapped forward violently as her bodily fluids went flying, accompanied by a sound none would expect from the heiress.

Blake jerked up, startled, her heart pounding in her chest. Yang was already too far gone to know what was going on, and from Ruby there was a heartfelt apology as she rolled onto her side and dropped the box of tissues to her partner's lower bunk.
