Tails' Flight

My name is Miles Prower. I live on planet Mobius. I am an orange fox with two tails. And yes, I was born that way. You see, I'm best friends with a super-fast, blue hedgehog named Sonic. For some reason, he and everyone else calls me Tails. I hate being called Tails, because it seems like their indirectly making fun of me.
You see, I always follow Sonic when he goes out to fight evil, and in doing that, I have become known as his "sidekick". I prefer being known as "Miles: Sonic's best friend", but no one has ever called me that.
But this story is different. After the events in the story I am about to tell, I was never called a "sidekick" ever again.
