A/N: My third poem. (you know, I never used to be able to rhyme to save my
life...maybe if you review, I'll be encouraged to write more!! hint hint)
This is from just about anyone's point of view concerning who dies in OotP.
There's one line that gives it away, sort of, so if you haven't read HP 5,
I advise that you read something else.
I Will Remember You
You fall through the veil
Not a mark on your face
I need to keep you
From falling into that place
Where black roses live
To keep the stones from growing
And through all the red streams
Earth's blood is flowing,
Where underground runs
Wind's burning breath,
And above, the air
Is still as death
That's where you'll go
I need to keep you free
From the torturing little demons
That won't leave people be
You're going anyway
I can't believe you're gone,
That it's the end,
Your life is done.
I scream and kick
Trying to get you back
I firmly believe
That I will die with the lack
Of your smiling face
And your warm eyes
I'm heartbroken that
You didn't say goodbye
The last thing you said was
"Save yourself!"
I'm still alive,
Alone by myself.
I want to believe
You're still alive
Yet I know that
You've taken that dive
Down into Death
Where there's a river full of souls
And the Darkness makes
Your heart full of holes
You won't come back,
That's all I know,
You're gone forever,
Destroyed by your foe.
` * ` * `
I'm by your grave,
I'm alive still,
Roses by your grave
And I believe that they will
Stay alive for you
They'll stay in bloom
They'll live forever
Through all this gloom,
Through the darkness,
Through the light,
Through the sunset,
Through the night,
They'll remember you,
And I'll remember you too,
Even when the world is ending
And is covered in blue,
I'll remember your face
And start to cry
And not stop,
Though years pass by,
I'll look at the Dog Star
And remember your name
And I'll ask the Clouds
From whence you came,
I'll watch the Sun
Rise and set
And then I'll ask him
Where you went,
The Moon will come
And comfort me then
And say that you're no longer
In Evil's den,
No questions will be answered,
Though all be asked,
And during all this,
I have the task
Of making sure
You are avenged,
Of destroying your foe;
Oh, sweet revenge!
Yet it won't bring you
Back from the dead
I've thought of this
While lying in bed
But I look out the window
And see the sun rise
And I reflect on things,
How your demise
Affected everyone
Foe, family, or friend
Has been devastated
By your life's end,
But the sun rises and sets,
Each day begins anew,
And I promise one thing:
I will remember you.
