Solomon Grundy was on a rampage inside a Home Depot. Ronnie Raymond was in
the store shopping. He quickly went into an empty aisle and transformed
into Firestorm. Then Firestorm went to confront Grundy, who was
demolishing the lumber department.
Solomon Grundy saw Firestorm coming. He picked up two bundles of plywood, one in each hand, and threw them both at the young hero. Firestorm caught one of them but the other one crashed into a nearby register, destroying it. Fortunately, the cashier and all of her customers had scattered as soon as they saw Grundy. Ronnie silently cursed himself for trying to catch the lumber instead of simply transmuting it into something harmless.
Grundy charged forward. Firestorm tried to evade the monster's attack but Grundy was surprisingly fast. Solomon punched Firestorm and sent him flying over 50 feet. Firestorm crashed through the wall just above the Tool Rental sign.
Ronnie was unconscious for a few minutes. When he woke up, Firestorm sought out Grundy again. This time, the monstrous golem, was shoving over entire racks of merchandise. However, it seemed that the store had been completely evacuated now so at least Grundy's destructive behavior wasn't putting anyone in immediate danger. "Except me, of course", Ronnie said to himself.
Just then, Solomon Grundy noticed Firestorm.
Solomon Grundy: "Solomon Grundy crush Flamehead!"
Firestorm: "That's not very civil of you, Solomon."
Grundy picked up an axe and threw it at Firestorm. Firestorm transmuted the axe into a bouquet of flowers.
Firestorm: "Solomon, you shouldn't have. I didn't get you anything."
Grundy: "What did Flamehead do with axe?" Grundy picked a forklift and prepared to throw it at Firestorm. But before he could do so Firestorm transmuted the forklift into water, drenching Grundy. Then Firestorm imprisoned Grundy by transmuting the water into nigh-indestructible promethium.
