-1"Hey, Prongslet, say Sirius. Sirius. Come on, say it, say Sirius,' Sirius Black said coaxingly to the little baby sitting on the floor beside him, looking at him with curiosity. "Go on. Sirius. Say Sirius!"
"Padfoot,
what are you doing?! My son is not going to say your name before
mine!" James Potter growled, hitting Sirius over the head, which
caused baby Harry to giggle with delight. "Now, Harry," James
said taking Sirius' place on the floor in front of Harry, "Daddy,
say Daddy! Go on, Daddy!" he said encouragingly.
"Prongs, you
may be his Dad, but I'm his favourite person!" Sirius
smirked, "Sirius, say Sirius, Prongslet! Sirius." turning
back to Harry, who just continued giggling.
"In your dreams
Siri," James said dismissively. He stood and picked up baby Harry.
"Say it, Harry, say Daddy," he exclaimed, twirling the
giggling child around.
"No,
say Padfoot!" Sirius exclaimed.
There was a whooshing
sound, and the fireplace erupted in to green flames as Remus Lupin
stepped out in to the room.
"Hey Moony, how's it going? Could
you please do the honour of telling dear uncle Siri here, that
Harry's first word will be 'Daddy', and not 'Padfoot'?"
"No, help me! I'm trying teach Harry to say 'Padfoot'!"
Sirius exclaimed, jumping up from the sofa.
Placing Harry back on
the floor, James growled "Don't you dare Moony! He's going to
say 'Daddy' first!"
Remus just laughed and rolled his
eyes at his pair of friends, and walked over to where baby Harry sat
reaching his hands out to Remus. " Hey Prongslet, how you holding
up in all this crazy?" he said, picking Harry up from the
floor.
Harry giggled, being picked up and loudly exclaimed 'Moo'y!
Moo'y!"
Remus burst out laughing while James and Sirius's
jaws dropped. James, Sirius, recovering himself first, groaned
'Moony! He was meant to say 'Sirius', not Moony!'
"Moo'y!"
