Certain

She's always been a little bit obsessed with food, she knows that. Her Dad had practically been starving when he was a kid, and he over-compensated for that by shoving large piles of extra, high calorie food into the mouths of his surrounding family. As a result, his wife and daughter gained more weight and more weight and became another two people in the ever-growing statistic of fat people in America. Her brother was still lean from swimming, the exercise shed any weight as soon as he gained it.

And sure, she was comfortable enough in her own body to not care about other people's opinions. But it would have been nice to be a little bit thinner, a little bit more desirable. Maybe then guys would notice her, like her, ask her out and love her. Maybe then she'd be like the rest, a boy on her arm and a smile on her face.

She hadn't even noticed when her relationship to food had changed. Bags of Cheetos became her company on Friday night as she sat watching millions of reruns of Friends instead of going on a date, socialising. And even when she was finally asked out, she acted like a starving kid from Africa stuffing her waiting mouth full with so much food at the restaurant that she couldn't possibly have to attempt awkward small talk. And she ate a mountain of food piled so high it nearly touched the roof at lunch so she didn't have to look up and see the happy smiling faces of the couples surrounding her, swarming her with their contentment.

She had always known that it would be a special guy to date her, but he had never appeared despite all her hopes and wishes. But still, she waited and waited for Mister. Right. Puck had only wanted her for the popularity that the red and white Cheerio's uniform came with, and never for whom she truly was. Still, it was nice to feel needed, desirable. It wasn't like she was ever going to be an easy girl to date, she was high-maintenance she knew that but if a guy had even paid any form of attention to her, that would have been all right. She was never going to be as pretty as Quinn, or as skinny as Brittany. She was who she was, and she wasn't going to ever change that.

But Kurt was right. He always was, she should have known that.

She should of least start treating her body with a little more respect, start exercising more and eating right. Her body was the only thing she had possessed when she had been born after all, and it deserved to be treated right, respected a little. And maybe if she shed a few pounds, guys would look at her more. It was depressing, but true, at first sight guys only looked at a girl's body, that's all they were attracted too.

Still, food wasn't supposed to be her only companion over the years. She wasn't going to let it take over her life, she couldn't let it win.

So she applies a layer of lip gloss over her already shiny lips, brushes her hair softly and heads over to talk to a smiling Anthony. Who really knows, he might be the one for her. She has to try at least, she deserves a chance at love.

The only thing she's certain of is that she's sick of spending her nights alone in front of the television, popping chocolate after chocolate into her waiting mouth.

Reviewssssss would be nice!
