Karkat Vantas, a male of ten years, was currently poised on the roof of his house. Energetic children such as himself would normally be out and about, running around and nearly impossible to catch when the end of the day drew nearer, but no, not Karkat. The albino was intently watching a tuft of blond hair bob in and out of sight between the trees with head tilted slightly, as if to get a better angle. Not many people ventured so close to his home, so the mere thought of a possible playmate being nearby both scared, and intrigued him. The only company he had was his elder brother, Kankri, and the television box which entertained him for hours on end. He did, however, play with the thought of someone his own age popping up sometime soon, and now that the opportunity had arisen, he wasn't going to let it pass by.
