"Where I Belong"

Alex looked out the window of her room in Cinderella's castle. They were leaving today, and they would never return, and to her that was unbearable.

There had to be some way she could stay, because there was no way she could imagine her life without the fairytale world. Maybe there was some ways she could to convince her grandmother, Cinderella's fairy godmother to let her stay there HAD to be a way!

She was about to make one last ditch effort to convince her grandmother when there was a knock on the door.

When Alex opened! Her the door there was the one person she wanted to talk to, the one person she felt would understand her dilemma (other than the fact that had been her grandmother's idea to close the portal between the worlds in the first place).

"Grandma!" Alex exclaimed running into her arms. "Please you have to reconsider, I can't LIVE without the fairytale world it's a part of who I am!"

Her grandmother smiled.

"Well maybe I can help then, maybe I have a solution where you won't have to give it up."

Alex's eyes widened.

"Really?"

Her grandmother nodded smiling softly.

It was only then Alex noticed the clothes her grandmother was holding it look like some sort of gown or robe, not unlike the ones she saw her grandmother and the other fairies wear.

"I have made the decision that I would take you on as my apprentice… If that is what you want."

Alex couldn't believe her luck! Her eyes widen still further (if that were possible).

"Really?" She asked again, "are you serious? Oh grandma! I'd love to!"

Her grandma returned her hug, chuckling softly, and when Alex looked back up at her she was wearing that benevolent smile Alex had seen so often in her storybooks.

"Now get dressed," her grandmother said firmly handing her the robe, "we still have to say farewell to the others before I close the portal."
