Dear Leonard,
By now you will have realized that my belongings are no longer located in your apartment. You will no doubt also notice that I have referred to the apartment as "your apartment" rather than "our apartment". I have quit my job at the University and have returned to the place of my birth to live with my mother. I have procured a position at a local high school teaching physics to freshmen. My first day is tomorrow. I do not look forward to it. But such is my life now. Please give my fondest regards to our mutual friends.
