Draco never went to the library. He usually preferred doing his homework in the Slytherin common room or outside by a tree. But lately, he found himself in the library every night. It wasn't for the quiet or the table space. It was for her. She sat at the same table every single night. The one closest to the large window that overlooked the grounds. She was beautiful. Her reddish-auburn hair curled like a princess's around her shoulders. She had flawless pale skin and her royal blue eyes made Draco melt. He could never actually focus on his work because she looked so beautiful doing hers across the room. In Draco's eyes, she was perfect. Except for one thing; she was a Ravenclaw. Draco had no prejudices against Ravenclaws as a whole but they had a notorious reputation of being unattainable. And Draco always wanted what he couldn't have
Draco walked into the Slytherin common room and immediately found Blaise Zambini. Blaise was lying on a black leather couch, flipping through the pages of his Potions book.
"Blaise, I need your help with something." Draco said, sitting down in the closest armchair. Blaise sat up, lying the book down beside him.
"What do you need?" Blaise questioned.
"Not what. Who." Draco responded, a little too eagerly.
"And who would this person be?" Blaise inquired.
"That's the problem. I don't know who she is" Draco sighed.
"So it's a she…" Blaise said.
"Yes, but she's a bloody Ravenclaw" Draco groaned. Blaise winced.
"Sucks for you, mate" Draco's face dropped, "But I think I can help." Draco perked back up, eager to hear how Blaise planned on helping.
Blaise opened the door to the library and looked inside. He saw the girl sitting right where Draco said she would be. He looked back in to the hallway and gave Draco a thumbs-up before walking in to the library. He sauntered across the library and plopped right down in a chair at the table she sat at.
"Hello, beautiful" Blaise said with a large smile. She looked up from her homework with a questioning glance.
"Um, do I know you?" The girl asked.
"No, but you should get to know me" Blaise replied. "I'm Blaise"
"Charley" She said, returning her attention to the paper in front of her.
"Charley…what a pretty name for a pretty girl" Blaise mused. Charley looked up from her homework.
"Look, I'm really not interested so if you could just, you know, not. That would be great" Charley said as she packed up her things. "But thanks anyway." She picked up her books and walked out of the library. As she pushed opened the door to leave the library, it slammed in to Draco, who had been eavesdropping, and the two collided.
"Oh, uh, sorry" She said blushing, and walked off down the corridor. Draco too blushed as she walked off. He looked down at the ground where they had collided and saw a paper lying there. He picked it up. Blaise walked out of the library.
"Sorry man but I don't think she's interested in anyone. Or maybe it's just me"
"It's okay" Draco said, looking at the paper "I have a reason to talk to her now"
Please tell me what you think. I'm always open for constructive criticism.
