I was sitting on my bed, back against my backboard, doing math homework with Shark Tank on my TV.

"You know if you move X over to the other side Y would be easier to find…"

"I was about to do that…but I wanted to watch Barbara and Robert fight over this company."

"Don, isn't helping her like cheating?"

"No! I just gave a suggestion!"

Mikey looked at the problems. "Dude, my head hurts just watching you!"

I laughed. "Then going to school would kill you, man!"

"Totally." he shook his head.

"By the way…" Raph coughed from my small rocking chair beside my bookshelf. "What page?"

He was asking about my fan-fiction. "183…in my notebook, but that's not really accurate and I haven't put it all together in Word just yet."

"Dude! I'm more interesting than that hot-head!" Mikey protested, obviously jealous. "We all get a lot of fan-fictions, but people barely write about me!" He paused for a minute, then added, "Well, at least compared to everyone else's…but it's still not fair!"

Raph let out a threatening growl at Mikey's first sentence. He lifted up the book he had been flipping through out of boredom. Mikey squealed and held up one of my mangas in front of his face.

"Grow up, Raph." Leonardo frowned, leaning against my closet door. "You sound like an animal."

Raphael narrowed his eyes. "Well, Leo, if you haven' fagotten, we're half turtle."

"Turtles don't growl."

"This one does." Raph lifted an eyebrow ridge and met his brother's glare with a challenging look. Leo rolled his eyes.

"Does Raph's crush on Cally come back?" Michelangelo inquired, snickering. I think he liked picking on his brother about the puppy love in the first part of Torn Hearts.

"Well…" I started. Hate to admit it, but Raphael had some funny reactions to this so I picked on him too.

"No!" Raph howled. "I ain't soft like that! Love's stupid!"

Mikey just snickered more. "Be careful, Raph, you might end up being the first of us!"

"Actually…" Donatello was spinning back and forth in my desk chair with his foot, playing with my rubix cube. "We are like the Liger. Half and half, we cannot reproduce."

"Ewwwwww!" Mikey wailed, "I wasn't going that far!"

Raph shook his head and had gone down a shade of green. "Visuals I don' want…"

Leo put his hand over his mouth and looked down at the floor.

I just scribbled more intensely at my math problems, pretending I didn't hear a thing.

Don muttered an embarrassed apology and went back to messing with my rubix cube.

Raph cleared his throat. "So the crush does not come back?"

I smirked and shrugged. "Still thinking about it. I got the idea of an apex, but I don't like other stories with apexes so it'd be kind of hypocritical to make it."

"Apex?"

"The top of a triangle," Don murmured, still intensely fixed on the cube. "Or in what Becs is saying, two people liking the same person, that person being Cally."

"With who?" Mikey demanded with a wide grin.

"Not telling, not telling!" I laughed.

Raph sighed, "If ya don' humiliate us all with this, you'll humiliate me."

I smiled, "I'll try not to humiliate any of ya'll."

"Ya'll…" Mikey murmured. "What kind of word is that?"

I frowned. "Less waste of breath saying you all!"

"You're country." He snickered, copying my natural accent.

I ignored the impulse to react, and simply went back to my math homework. "I'm supposed to be doing my math homework!"

"Move the X," Don suggested again.

"I told you I was going to, and then we got a rabbit trail!" I wailed.

"Sorr-ee," He muttered, finishing the rubix. He smiled, obviously proud of himself.

And I was left doing my stupid math.
