For On This Day

And then a sound filled the night
In the cold winter air
And in the midst of his flight
It was holding him there
And as he looked towards the earth
For the source of this sound
On that cold winter night
It was pulling him down

Christmas Eve. No better day to head home. The case in Denver had gone smoothly, and now the team was getting home to their families and loved ones.

Everyone climbed out of the SUVs, grabbing their "go" bags.

"Here, Ade, let me get that for you," said Derek Morgan, reaching around her to grab her bag out of the back of the car. "Don't need to hear from Sean about nobody helping out his baby mama."

She chuckled slightly. "Thanks, Derek." She ran her hand over her baby bump. "I think Jude's thanking you too. He's pretty active today."

Everyone got on the jet and took their normal seats. Adrienne shift around in hers, trying to get comfortable, but not able to find a position.

"Ade…You sure you're okay to fly?" Hotch asked.

"Aaron. I'm fine. The doctor said I can fly up to 34 weeks. I still got three weeks left until I'm grounded. I'll be fine. He'll go to sleep here soon. He always sleeps on the plane ride. Besides you wouldn't dare let me miss Christmas with the Hotchner boys."

"No. Sean would kill me if you weren't home for Christmas."

"Then quit worrying. Now can we like get this show on the road so fidget the midget will quit kick the crap out of me?"

The jet had been in flight for over an hour. Adrienne was still uncomfortable no matter what she did. Hell, Morgan had even moved over on the couch so she could lie down. Still she was completely uncomfortable.

"Still not staying still? Is he Ade?"

"No, Jayje. He isn't." She got from the couch and walked the aisle. "God it hurts like hell. I haven't felt this kind of pain since…."

"Ade?" Hotch looked up from seat. "I'll have them make an emergency landing."

"No. We're going back to Quantico. I'm not Mary, this child is not Jesus. I will not give birth in the middle of hickville with a bunch of cows and other farm animals! Besides we don't even know…." Her voice trailed of as a rush of pain flashed across her stomach. "that I'm in labor."

"Ade…" JJ looked at her nonchalantly. "You're in labor. That's a labor face."

Hotch began to get up.. 'I'll have land at the closest—"

"No! We're going back to Quantico! I'm not giving birth to this baby without Sean! How far out are we? We can't be more than, what? An hour? Hour and a half? She sat back down on the couch.
