It was almost midnight. About 5 minutes until my 16th birthday. Kendall had his hands over my eyes leading me somewhere that was unknown only to me. Every so often he would drop hints on where we were going or whisper 'not much longer' into my ear. I had my you've got to be kidding me smirk on the whole way hoping he would finally say-
"We're here..." He slowly pulled his hand from over my eyes and slid them down to intangle them with mine for a moment then he walked twords the setting.
My mouth dropped as I took it in. I couldn't believe he would honestly do this for me. Im not worth this, but then again Im not worth a lot... Im definately not worthy enough for him but he happened as well... There was a baby blue blanket laying in the middle of the green and dewy ground. A couple of candles at the top, about a foot away from the pillows, and a his iPhone on the deck playing... "Love Letter". I died laughing when he turned it up. He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me while I burried my face into his chest, still laughing. Though I discovered Heffron Drive after my Big Time Rush craze I found myself loving Heffron Drive more than BTR. It was more real and well just more meaningful I guess. When I finally stopped laughing, I looked up to see the smile I love more than just about anything else in the world, smiling down at me.
"Kendall, w-why did you do this? Well I know why but... for me? Why for me?" I reached my hands up to lock behind his neck and played with his hair lightly.
"Because, believe it or not Gloria, I love you. I want to see you smile, I want to see your eyes light up like they do when you laugh, I want to see you happy like you are right now..." He looked into my eyes and kissed my forhead. "Plus its your birthday in about 3 minutes and I wanted to be the first one to wish you happy 16th." He pulled back a little and smirked at me.
I blushed a little and looked down. Hes honestly perfect, too perfect to be real. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. He walked over to the blanket and we layed down on it with our hands intangled in between us. We watched the stars and talked for literally less than two minutes before his phone went off on the deck. He reached over and picked it up touching the snooze icon. He had a smile on his face and looked over at me. He held his phone up I read the screen. An instant smile spread across my face and a blush heated up my cheeks. His phone read 'Babygirl's Birthday'. He leaned over and gently placed his lips on mine long enough for me to register he kissed me, then pulled away.
"Happy 16th birthday, babygirl." He moved my hair out of my face and layed back down beside me, but this time he pulled me into his arms and held me tight.
The dark is something Im afraid of, outside at night is another fear, turning 16 is my biggest worry... But when I have Kendall here beside me I realize that the night can't hurt me when hes protecting me, the dark won't dare come near me because of my shinning star, and turning 16... Well as long as Kendall stays where he is... I have absolutely nothing to worry about... My Prince Charming, Knight in Shinning Armor, Robbin Hood, my Frog, and my Shrek... Came all in one. I couldn't ask for a better night, birthday, or guy. I love Kendall Schmidt. He'll always be the ultimate birthday wish...
