Chapter 1: The Fastest Man Alive
Darkness. It swallows us all, even the best of us. It traps us and brings to a point we can never return from. I should know I've been there many times before. My name is Oliver Queen. After 5 years in hell, I have returned home with only one goal: To save my city! Now I fight that war one to fronts. By day I lead Star City as its mayor but by night I am someone else. I am...something else. I am the Green Arrow.
"Okay Oliver, he's on the top floor. To get to him undetected you'll need to work your way up." Felicity spoke through and earpiece.
I fired an arrow at the window, used my bow as a zip line and crashed through the window tackling my target from above.
"Or you could just do that"
I threw the man underneath me against the wall and drew back my bow, an arrow pointed straight at his throat.
"Barry Allen..you have failed this city!"
Like a bird soaring through the air, the arrow flew through the air perfectly on a course set straight for his throat. In a a light show of red and yellow he moved from his location, grabbed me by the collar and threw me though the broken window. He's fast I'll give him that but not a match for me. In an instant, I was grappled up to the roof ready for round 2. As I expected he was here too.
"That all you got? I expected better from you Oliver"
"You haven't seen anything yet"
I shot at him,multiple times, he dodged every one but caught the last.
"You missed" He chuckled
"Did I?" I retorted
Bang! The trick arrow exploded in his face.
"Tough luck kid, but at least you're getting better and faster"
"But not fast enough to stop Savitar"
"You'll get there Barry, we'll all get where we need to be" I reassured him with a face of dismay. Suddenly the sky split open before us and two bodies fell to our location. One was wearing blue sports gear ,the other a black leather costume which made me think she was an assassin. My suspicions were confirmed when she swerved my legs and held a bow staff to my throat.
"Who...are...you?" I choked
"The first of many" she replied in a seducing voice, "Go" she spoke to the other, who was off the building in a flash of blue.
"Great,another speedster to worry about" I heard Barry say before he ran after him
When I run, it's the best feeling in the world. The wind in my face, the friction under my feet, the electricity in my veins, I'm alive. I'm Barry Allen and the fastest man alive. I raced through the streets of Star City chasing the many in blue. He was young, he would make mistakes. Thankfully it wasn't long before he did. We reached the building that used to be Queen Consolidated, he ran up allowing me to faze through and cut him off at the other side.
"Who are you?" We shouted at the same time
"The fastest man alive" we replied with equal synchronisation. This man wasn't from another Earth he was from another universe.
