He was numb. After all that he's been through and put through, he was numb. He can see the wind though the leaves and hear the crash of the waves but he can't feel any of them. He was lying on the sand, see it seep in between his toes, but still can't feel anything. The sand shifted and there beside him was her. He reached out to touch her golden hair and it felt like silk. He brushed his fingers across her cheeks and felt their warmth and how soft her skin was. He looked into her silvery grey eyes and felt content flood his body. He moved closer to the petit girl and brushed his thumb across her cheeks again while keeping he eyes steady on her. He was close now to her lips being just a breath away and he saw her close her eyes saying that he can close the distance between them, which he did. Their lips met and Dean felt a lightning bolt shot through his body. Her lips were soft and yet when he kissed her he can feel happiness, longing, compassion, and hesitation. He pulled back and looked at her and saw confusion in her eyes. He went of another kiss, this one being deeper than the last, showing her that he wants this and not only needing this. They stayed together lying on the sand until the sun went down and went back to shell cottage hand in hand. Before they enter the cottage he gave her one last kiss on her lips and on top of her head. He looked her in the eye and whispered "I love you Luna, I really do." and with that Luna buried her head on his chest, savoring the feeling of holding him. "I love you too Dean." she said before leaning up to him and giving him a light kiss. He never thought that from feeling so numb to experiencing the greatest feeling in the world in one day was possible, but it happened. He realized that if that was possible then anything everything else is possible. That maybe they can win the war and live though it. Maybe they can be together and live in a better world. Dean was not sure what the future holds for them but he was glad that he can feel himself holding Luna, that he was no longer numb, that he can feel love for her.
