Rex-n-Trixie: Flipping Nature
Written by: Brittany R./FoxieSango
"Maybe Andy will get another dinosaur…like a leaf eater! That way I could play the uh…'dominant predator' hahaha!"
It had been so long since Rex said that statement to Andy's other toys during that Christmas 12 years ago.
Now, Rex knew a leaf eater...but this was not exactly what he expected it would be. The fact of the matter was: he was supposed to be the predatory Tyrannosaurus to the prey that was Trixie the Triceratops. It was a law of nature, and it had been for centuries. So why was it that whenever he was around her, he would easily get weak in the knees? Why was it that when she smiled, his heart would beat rapidly in anxiety? Why was it that whenever she approached him, he grew nervous and felt like running away (even though he could never get his feet to move quite the way he wanted)? Weakness, rapid heartbeats, and the instinct to retreat were all attributes of one deemed as 'the prey.' So how was it that in such a short amount of time, Trixie had flipped the law of nature so that she was the predator and Rex was her prey? And even more peculiar…
Why did Rex feel that with Trixie, he really wouldn't want it any other way?
Very short; I know. But I felt it didn't really need much more than what it was. Hope you liked it! ^-^
Author's Note: With the 'that Christmas 12 years ago,' I was using Molly as a time marker. I figured that in TS1, Molly was only a few months old. In TS2, I figure she was probably about 2 years old since she started walking at the end of TS2. And TS3 takes place about 10 years after TS2. (Or 10 years and a few months after TS1) so yeah. I don't really know how accurate that is but that's what I was thinking.
Anyway, not much action here; just like a perspective observation. Hope you liked it! Read and review please! ^-^
