Okay so this is my first fanfic, most chapters will probably be short if I continue it, don't really have the time to continually write, unfortunately! :(
All credit for the title goes to Nina Van Heeckeren. :) I was clueless on what to call this, since it's more than likely going to be my own spin on a novelization of Fallout 3 in First Person, but I didn't want to simply call it 'Fallout 3 Novelization' or something...
R+R, and let me know if you think I should continue this, please! :)

Chapter 1- Waking Up
So, I woke up with Amata standing over me with a fearful look on her face and with the Vault sirens blaring, making it difficult to even hear myself think.
Oh, I should probably explain the Vault thing. You see, I grew up in one of these Vaults that the Pre-Great War American Government decided to build to protect citizens from the upcoming Nuclear Holocaust, Vault 101, to be precise.
Only these Vaults weren't generally built with the safety of the citizens as their priority. There were 122 Vaults built, but only 17 were built to 'control', meaning only 17 were built with the safety of the occupants as the priority- the other 105 Vaults were used as social experiments by the Government. For example, Vault 108's occupants were all human clones of the same guy, Gary. They were even named by number, like Gary 5 or Gary 20. It got to the point where the only intelligible word that the clones could say was their original name- Gary. My own Vault- Vault 101, was designed to never open. However, as I found out later, I was lied to- people had gone to the surface from the Vault, even before my Dad and myself.
But I'm getting a little ahead of myself.
Anyway, Amata woke me up and told me that her Father (The Overseer and self-proclaimed saviour of the Vault) and his men were looking for me due to my Dad leaving the Vault, and that his work partner and my friend, Jonas, was killed when they interrogated him.
She convinced me to leave the Vault and offered me her Father's 10mm Pistol that she had stolen from her Dad's office, which I accepted, but I had no intention of killing any of the people I had grown up around.
She told me she'd meet me at the Vault Door, but not to wait for her if I made it there first, and left. I quickly changed into my Vault 101 Jumpsuit (Standard Issue), and gathered my meagre group of possessions (A comic, Baseball Cap, BB Gun, Baseball Bat, 50 BB's, 10 Stims, and 1 shot of Med-X), and walked out of my Vault Apartment, never to return...
