Without You

Tears strained my face

As I stared at the bleak ground where you once stood

The earth looked so bare, so lonely

The earth that you would never touch again

I know you had to do it

It was your only choice

But that doesn't stop the pain

And even worse

I could have stopped this from happening

I could have saved you

I could have prevented the pain

But I didn't

And now it will never stop

And the guilt will never stop

And I will live the rest of my life alone
