LONE TEAR.
A STORY FOR DIVIDED HEART WHO'S FATHER RECENTLY PASSED AWAY.
CHARACTER : NEJI HUUGA
DISCLAIMER : I DO NOT OWN NARUTO OR ANY CHARACTER I DO HOWEVER OWN THE PLOT TO THIS STORY.
In the words of the great 'you don't live till you cry'
The rain poured down as a lone boy stood over a ruff rectangle of land and a marble tombstone he sighed kneeling down.
His long brown hair was not tied and cascaded around his sullen features making him look heavenly to the female eye.
But that was not what he wanted.
To this day it had been 7 years since the thirteen year olds father passed on to protect the main household of the family. The boy fully understood that his father was now free but could not help but be sad.
He sighed again as the rain began to pour down heavily inside his emotions were mixed should he be happy that his father had escaped his cage? His main thoughts were pushed towards sorrow and despair in the mix of feelings.
Yet deep down somewhere he knew there was someone else he could love. But that only added another emotion to the mix.
Fear.
Fear of rejection by the one he loved.
He tried not to think to much on that thought and began to whisper. 'father. What can I do? What can save me from a chosen path? Can you see me, father? Are you proud of my achievements? I wish you were here father…..'
His whispers carried out like he was yelling to his ears he heard them loudly over the roar of the rain. The boy sat his back to the tombstone and looked up.
He really did miss his father. He had lived life in a dark state fussing over fate and paths destiny and sorrow. He had hated the main branch of the family and yet the scroll his father had given him had changed that.
Only in a few words too.
The boy pondered over how his father had protected not only the main branch of the family, but his older brother too. He had happily given his life to save his brother and had chosen that path over the bitterness held and reserved for the main branch.
He remembered the day he had been given the scroll, he had looked up to find lord Hiashi bowed down on the floor he remembered telling him not to bow down.
He remembered the love for friendship that everyone else held dear to them, mainly Naruto the boy that had beaten him and deprived him of his fate speeches.
He chuckled.
It didn't sound right though not like usual not like when lee fell down halfway through training to get back up again while laughing.
Not like when Tenten scolded and hit lee and Gai sensei for going on and on about youth.
He frowned again. Glancing down at the tombstone he sighed thinking back farther, thinking back to when he was crouched over his fathers still body shaking sobbing, crying.
He remembered the time his father had activated his Byakugan in rage.
That day his curse mark had been activated, the boy remembered looking down on his father who had curled into the fetal position screaming in agony and clutching his forehead.
He remembered back to the time he saw Lady Hinata on her third birthday, the day his four year old self was branded with the terrible mark on his forehead.
After his father died he had began to live in fear, of every day and every main branch member with the knowledge of how to activate the curse mark.
Thinking back hurt him and a sob racked through his body.
He remembered the last words on the scroll given to him.
'forge your own destiny, Neji'
And with that last thought a lone tear fell blending in with the rain.
So this is my first story I made it in honor of my friend who can not continue his stories at the moment so anyone looking for a chapter to the following stories will have to wait.
