Deep in my Heart: Part 3- "Response"

Dear Taichi-kun,

I'm sorry that I didn't write sooner. You see, I'm tackling an Arts degree, working a part-time job, and spending all my free time either writing stories (attempting to publish, of course) or running wild with Jyou around Brooklyn. Oh, I forgot to mention! Jyou is now my very devoted boyfriend. He's two years ahead of you in the way of becoming a doctor. Are you still pursuing the doctor dream? I'm just wondering if Yolei's dear parents would be upset if you didn't have enough guts to be a doctor.

Of course I support you and Yolei! Why wouldn't I? It's not like I'm jealous or something! Haha! That is a rather silly thought, isn't it? Mimi thought I was jealous and that's why I didn't respond to you. The idea! How could I be jealous when I have Jyou? I never felt anything but friendship for you, Tai. I wish you and Yolei the best of luck! I wish the wedding was sooner; I can't wait to watch you and Yolei tie the knot! Although she is rather young to be thinking of marriage, but you guys will work it out, I imagine.

Anyway, dear, I have a lot of work to do. Be sure to drop me a little note! I want to know how things are over in old Japan!

Much love from,

Sora

PS- You know what? I think I want to stay in Brooklyn forever... with Jyou of course!

Sora smirked as she addressed the envelope to Taichi Yagami. She smirked as she pasted the stamps on it. And she kept smirking until she mailed it that afternoon. When she came home at suppertime with the same smirk on her face, Mimi glanced at her oddly.

"Sora, what are you grinning about? You've had that plastered on your face for hours! It's gonna start to stick!" she protested.

Sora just laughed cynically and side-stepped the question. "So, what's for supper?"

Mimi shrugged and let it go. "Meat balls and rice. How exciting. But you know what is exciting?" She grinned.

"What?"

"Yamato's coming to visit for Christmas!" She burst out happily. "A full two weeks! Can you believe it? Ooh, I can't wait!"

Sora smiled. "That's great!" She couldn't help but feel a little sorry for Mimi, though. Her boyfriend across the Pacific Ocean while her boyfriend lived a couple blocks away. Still, she'd keep Mimi happy. At least she wasn't on her case anymore for allegedly ignoring Tai. In fact, Sora couldn't wait for a response....
