Hello! I have no idea how this author's note thing works since this is my first time posting something, hahaha.
I guess this is where I rant on my rl stuff, so I'll try my hand at it. I'm not too sure if I'm quite sane atm since I'm trying a chaptered fic (le gasp.) and my chaptered fics usually die right after the first chapter, yep. I hope this will last, but I'm not very sure about whether or not it will. Anyway I should be getting back to my homework too so…. :0
K+ for some swearing, just because.
Disclaimer: I wish I owned Vocaloid, ahahhaha. Then they would be acting this out instead! Unfortunately I don't orz
Rin's gaze burned into the minute hand of the wall clock as it struck twelve, signifying the start of another hour.
Another god-damned hour.
Rin groaned loudly, letting her head fall onto the cool surface of her desk. 14 February was always her least favourite day of the year. The blonde sat alone in the classroom with the afternoon sun gracing her tensed form, next to the opened window and the yellow pair of chirping birds that hadn't stopped since classes first began.
Damn birds.
In irritation, Rin attempted to knee the air as if it was him, the source of all retardation and uglification. However, Rin had injured herself when her left knee had hit the drawer of her desk. Rin yelped in pain and swore none too softly, curling up and rubbing her knee with as much affection as she could muster in all her anger and pain, almost like he did. Keyword: did. If Rin were to trace the root cause of all her misery and bad luck, it would definitely be linked back to that jerk of her best friend.
Or rather, that jerk who had the same name, face and body of her best friend. What he was now was a reflection of what she hated and what he swore he would never become. Obviously, times have changed and time has changed people. It was inevitable, but it didn't hurt any less. Never did a day go by without Rin thinking about how close they were in the past, they shared everything with each other. They were like opposite poles, always attracted to each other. Everywhere they went and everything they did was always together with each other. You could call them an item, which they were. Rin laughed bitterly at this, it was hilarious how one person could've changed so much, or two people to be exact.
It didn't matter now though, because whatever he was is gone and whatever he is now won't go.
"Meet me in class at 4pm today." He demanded through a text message. Being the popular person he was, of course he was too busy to even spare five seconds of his life to even tell it to her in person. The more she thought about him, the more she wanted to kick him into the Sun or throw him into Mars or something. She cursed herself for not deleting his number earlier, so she could pretend that she didn't know who had so politely requested to meet her after school.
Lost in her violent thoughts, Rin didn't notice how fast time had passed. The 4:20pm bell had sounded and shocked Rin. She scanned the room, which was still empty. Tch, the nerve of this bastard.
He had stood her up again for the umpteenth time.
Rin had felt that hateful pang of hurt in her chest despite this happening to her many times over. She bit her lower lip and blinked once.. twice.. And the third time that she blinked, she felt a tear roll down her flushed cheeks. She hated him, that Kagamine; But she hated the fact that she still cared more.
