Man vs. society vs. man
In a world of darkness, one hero fought on. A creature hated by society for being too strong but also feared for being created. Shadow was created to be the ultimate life form, to destroy every creature on earth but he turned the chance down because he did not like being told what to do and lost his memory and true purpose do to an accident. Owing to the fact that Shadow had lost his memory, he decided to help save humanity even though they do not like him. Shadow was attacked by both government force and society's dislike of him. Time after time, shadow saved the universe but still government and people hated him. In an alternate future Shadow is shut down after a giant explosion takes out a whole country by the government for fear that Shadows power had destroyed the country. The explosion was really created by Shadow's shadow who calls himself Mephiles. Mephiles is in a scepter of darkness that is promptly knocked from shadow by a hoard of government robots, which releases Mephiles who then takes the form of any darkness he can find, and of course, Shadow's shadow is the first form he can find. Mephiles was originally sealed in a scepter of darkness (unknowingly by shadow in the future who went into the past). Shadow finds this out and with the help of his friends Omega and Rouge goes back to the past, when shadow originally created Mephiles (shadow does not know he did this until he goes into the past to do the exact same thing). In an epic never ending battle Shadow takes Mephiles head on in the present, and then tries to seal Mephiles as he did in the past. Mephiles breaks the seal again and blasts shadow, rouge, and omega backwards then tells them that fighting is futile and creates hundreds of copies of himself. Shadow takes on Mephiles even though if he wins society will still fear and hate him. To fight the copies shadow takes off his rings that help him control and contain his power creating a huge burst of energy around shadow and co. Shadow uses this burst of energy to run head first into the hoard of copies destroying them. Even if Shadow does win the battle of good vs. evil he will always be feared and hated by society for being the ultimate life form.
