Rowena Elizabeth Whitfield was not an ordinary witch. Nor was she an ordinary girl, come to think of it. In fact, to most everyone, everything about her was a puzzle. A puzzle of exceptional difficulty.

Rowena was quite unlike the other students that attended Hogwart's School of Witch Craft and Wizardry in England. While her peers had been eagerly awaiting their letters of acceptance when they were 11 and 12, Rowena had been in Egypt, studying the ruins of an ancient tomb. While the boy who lived himself, Harry Potter, had been dodging bludgers and catching snitches during Quidditch practice, Rowena was exploring a wizard bookstore in Transylvania, pouring over the dusty volumes as she was taught yet another curse or potion. And when Harry and the fab gang went to their respected homes for yet another summer break following their sixth year, Rowena Fairchild was attending her parent's funeral.

            This is her story.
