Bedtime for Baby
Carmen and the rest of the family came back from their special day trip excited to see baby Eric. They left the one year old with a babysitter so they could have quality time with the girls. Once inside they found Eric sound asleep in his bouncy seat in front of blue's clues. They smiled at the way he was gently curled around his stuffed blue. Pavel lifted his son out of the seat and carried him to his nursery. He tucked him into his crib with his blue and was going to put his pacy in, but Eric's thumb slid into his mouth. Carmen tiptoed in and kissed him on the head and placed his blankie over him. There was a crash outside and Eric woke. He looked up and saw his parents. He started cooing and reached up for Carmen. She smiled and picked Eric up. He lay in her arms cooing and looking up with big brown eyes. He wrapped his tiny hand around her finger and giggled. Pavel smiled as his son lay happy in his mother's arms. Ana came in and when Eric saw her he cooed and said "nana". They smiled at how Eric couldn't say Ana. He looked up and said" momma ant' nana peas." Ana took Eric and got them in his crib. She read him one of his bedtime stories. When she started reading the story he looked up with a pout and whined "no nana bue sory". She smiled and their mom handed her the Blue's clues story. He was slowly dozing off and asked "momma dada seep if oo?" They smiled and Carmen picked up Eric. He mumbled "pjs". Carmen smiled as Pavel dressed Eric in his favorite footie pjs. Eric wrapped his arms around his blue and snuggled up to Pavel. Carmen grabbed his blankie and they went to their room. Pavel watched Eric sitting on the bed watching them get ready intently. His big brown eyes flicked around the room as his parents moved. Finally Pavel got in bed, and Eric crawled up to him, and curled up on his chest. Carmen came out and placed his blankie over Eric, blue, and Pavel. They laughed as Eric curled tightly around his blue and sucked his thumb. She kissed the tip of his nose, and sung him a lullaby. After a few seconds Eric was soundly sleeping, and they watched him as they dozed off.
