Laying in their bed that night, Kaoru said quietly,
"Hikaru?"
"Mm?"
"I know it's part of the fake fight thing… but dying our hair different colors bothers me. They can tell which one's which… and I like keeping it a secret."
"Yeah." Hikaru replied.
"Will you look at me?" Hikaru turned over for him.
"Okay." He said.
"I feel… lonely fighting with you even if we're lying about it…" Hikaru leaned close to him and gently hugged him.
"I'm sorry. I know it's in our script, but I'm saying such mean things to you… I hate it."
"Hikaru, it's not your fault. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to do this."
"It's kind of fun to watch their reactions, though. They never saw it coming!"
"Yeah, I guess…" Kaoru looked away a little bit.
"Kaoru…" Hikaru pushed some hair out of the younger twin's face. "How can I ever make you feel better? Is there some way to make it up to you?"
"When this is over…"
"Yeah?"
"Will you kiss me?"
"Heh…" Hikaru snuggled up closer to him than before, embracing him and tilting his chin up so that their eyes were forced to meet. "It never really began, so… I don't have to wait until it ends."
They kissed.
