A short fic (again, I seem to be writing short stories lately) about Sev and Lily. I was just thinking about how similar Harry and Ginny would look to Lily and James at first glance! This is what came out of it...

Disclaimer: Really, I feel like I've said it a million times, but I'll say it again - I don't own Harry Potter, you're looking for J.K Rowling everyone!

Severus made his way out to the courtyard, tired of the Gryffindors in the Library, tried of the noisy Slytherins in the common room, tired of people in general. Except Lily of course, he never tired of Lily, but she had tired of him. When all was said and done Lily had not been able to forgive him. Nor had Snape been able to forgive himself. He didn't begrudge her for it; it was his own fault after-all. He shut the door behind him and turned to face the courtyard. Severus froze.

There she was, on the bench right in front of him, James behind her. They were leaning against each other, talking. James leaned down and kissed the top of her head, Lily laughed.

Snape's heart cried out in pain at the sight of it, but he couldn't move. Frozen in place Snape could only watch as the girl he loved tilted her face up and kissed his worst enemy on the lips. Her hair caught the sun beautifully. There was James, happier then Severus ever could be.

Without another sound Severus was gone in swish of robes. Somewhere down the long corridor he collapsed, hardly breathing and in agony.

Professor Snape made his way out to the courtyard, tired of the students in detention, tried of the noisy teachers filling the staff room, tired of people in general. Especially Harry of course, he was always tired of Harry, fighting an emotional battle whenever he looked at him. Because when all was said and done Harry's mother had not been able to forgive him. Nor had Snape been able to forgive himself. He didn't begrudge her for it; it was his own fault after-all. He shut the door behind him and turned to face the courtyard. Snape froze.

There she was, on the bench right in front of him, James behind her. They were leaning against each other, talking. James leaned down and kissed the top of her head, Lily laughed.

Snape's heart cried out in pain at the sight of it – but it couldn't be right. Frozen in place Snape watched as Ginny Weasley tilted her face up and kissed Harry Potter on the lips. Her hair was the same dark red as Lily's in the current light. And there was James' boy, as happy as his father before him.

Without another sound Severus was gone in swish of robes. When he got to his office he collapsed, hardly breathing and Déja vu overwhelming him.

Hope you liked it. Reveiw, I welcome any kind of feedback!
