Katy thought that Malfoy's antics were cute. No, more like adorable. She was a Pureblood so he had no issues with her, other than the fact that she was in Ravenclaw and proud of it, as the blue streak in her hair showed. He had told her before that she belonged in Slytherin, with the exception of her overwhelming shyness. She had just looked down, blushing to prove his point. For some reason, though, he kept coming back. Maybe it was his deserved arrogance in thinking that he was beautiful enough that everyone should look at him when they were talking to him. Katy just couldn't, though. She kept her light hazel eyes turned towards her desk or her intertwined hands until he grumbled and walked away. She always hated herself for being so shy as to make him give up on talking to her in their classes everyday, but she was equally grateful that it was a challenge for him that made him come back. She had known him for so long, even before Hogwarts. She loved him for his constant returns. After one particularly hard Transfiguration class, Katy went straight to the library to start on the pile of homework that McGonagall had assigned. Draco was right behind her, and he spread out his work on the same table. All through lunch they worked, and their free period as well. Neither of them spoke until Draco looked up and saw Katy's luminous eyes peeking up at him. He said, softly, "Dear, why don't you speak to me?" Katy replied, looking at the table, "Because I am afraid. I am 16, and for every year I have been afraid."Suddenly Draco stood up, walked around to Katy's side of the table and lifted up her chin to force her eyes to meet his. He looked in them for a moment, and, being content with what he saw, whispered, "Never be afraid. I am the same age as you, have known you from the very beginning from when our parents first met, you have no reason to be afraid of me. Or of losing me." With those words drifting on the air, he leaned down and pressed his warm lips to hers.
