"Good luck, I love you." Orihime whispered as she righted her clothes.
She watched her lover get ready to leave her. He had a mission to stop the other Arrancar from coming after her.
"I know." he said as he pulled back on his hakama and zanpakto.
He then placed his shirt over his arm and left. He never told her he loved her back. He didn't have to, she knew even though he didn't know himself. He felt something other than contempt for her and only for her. He barely tolerated any of the other Espada but Nnoitra, he didn't tolerate him at all, and despised the Reapers that were among them.
Only around Orihime could he show anything at all. He had let her get under his defences and led to all of his walls crumbling but only with her. He had changed, they both knew that he had. No one else had noticed. That was fine with him.
But what wasn't fine was having her taken from him by Grimmjow and being put into another dimension so he couldn't follow. Also having Nnoitra coming after her thinking that she was there to see to his "needs". Not only was there him there was the jealousy from the females, Loly and Menoly. Menoly wanted Aizen but he had no interest and was more interested in what Orihime could do and that she was kept healthy. But Loly wanted him and hated that all his focus and attention was on Orihime than rebuffing her.
As her bodyguard he was to see to all her needs as well as protect her from any and all danger that could befall her. Hence because of said dangers he was sleeping in her cell. An incident with Loly had seen to that and had put the two together and had given him what he had seen as his heart. He needed to thank her for her stupidity.
He searched out the other Arrancar signatures of Reitsu. He found them. They were all gathered in the sitting area. Atleast he wouldn't have to search out Loly and thank her. He could kill several birds with one stone. As he got closer he felt their reitsu respond to his and flare. They knew he was coming and were waiting to try to get on his nerves.
He entered to sitting room and made a B-line for Loly, who was actually sitting closest to the door. As he came closer to her he noticed how she looked him over taking in his appearance. He saw the look of hate came into her eyes when she spied the fading bite marks Orihime left on his shoulder. He then stopped in front of her.
"Loly." he said impassively.
"Ulquiorra." she said, anger tinging her voice.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with pet-sama." Nnoitra teased and Ulquiorra.
"What do you want?" Loly asked icily.
"To thank you as well as the rest of you." he said and glanced at the others.
"For what?" Grimmjow asked.
"Being overly idiotic." he said and turned away, revealing faint welts running down his back that Orihime had put there merely minutes before.
