Hopelessly in Love
I always knew he was in love with her.
Whenever her eyes brightened he'd smile, whenever she fought against the x-eggs he'd stare in awe, whenever she was down he'd do anything to make her smile again, so hopelessly in love.
It sickens me.
"Good morning, Rima-chan." His voice tore me away from my thoughts. I snap my head up and immediately found myself staring into his sun setting sky eyes. . . that weren't staring back. Following his gaze, I slightly crane my neck behind me.
There she was, my best friend, smiling like a fool at the King's chair with cheeks pinker than her hair.
A pang of guilt strikes through my chest. Why, why am I so mad at her?
Raising my head back at him, I notice the sadness in his eyes, and a thought enters my mind.
Maybe, just maybe . . . he'd figure out . . .
"Hi, Nagihiko." I force a smile on my thin lips. He blinks away from Amu and also forces a smile at me.
. . . that I stare at him the same way.
Just something I wrote while listening to Boats and Birds.
Review if you want. :)
