"How about I get McGonagall?" Amelia asked Ginny.
"That'd be a little tricky...she's a sharp one, she is!" Ginny replied.
"Ah, well, I'll go for it anyway. I mean, as far as she knows, it was an accident!"
That day in Transfiguration the Gryffindors were practicing Reflective Transfiguration Spells – very tricky stuff for the 7th years. The way that the wand had to be moved made this the perfect day for Amelia's prank: you first had to bounce your wand loosely in your fingers once and then swish it towards your target while saying the incantation...so all Amelia had to do was miss. Reflective Transfiguration Spells were like inverting colors on Photoshop in the Muggle world. Your body colors would be completely the opposite, and Amelia was determine to get Professor McGonagall.
Ginny first tried the spell on Amelia to make sure that it worked, which it did. Amelia's blue eyes turned a vivid orange, and Ginny's hair turned bright green when Amelia shot the spell back at her. For the next round Amelia was going to get her Professor...and hopefully not get kicked off the Quidditch team for today's match against Slytherin. She was the last spare Chaser they had, all of the others were out sick.
Amelia bounced up and down opposite Ginny, just waiting for her turn. She kept making Ginny laugh with her funny little comments about people's inverted hair and skin colors, like how it was weird to see Dean white. Finally they were up again, and Ginny turned Amelia's long hair to a bright whitish grey. Finally it was Amelia's turn, and she bounced and swooshed her wand...a little to the right of Ginny. She gasped as McGonagall turned the weirdest colors she had ever seen...
