Uncharted : Down...But Not Out
Stranded...In the middle of nowhere,
Bruised and with a nasty cut on his forehead,
Nathan Drake laid unconcious and washed up on the river's shore,
He was motionless and still,
For how long he had been there for was unknown,
A hovering fly came wandering to his forehead and went onto his wound,
In reaction Nate began to twitch and then suddenly he was brought back to life,
He rose and shook his head from the wet sandy ground,
The fly flew away as water dripped from his nose and chin,
Nate touched his injured temple and opened his eyes,
He glanced over to right and immediately saw his pistol,
Breathing quite heavily he reached over and hastily clenched the hilt of his gun...
Taking the magazine clip out of the pistol to see how many bullets were left and shaking the weapon itself,
Nate managed to stand up as he observed his surroundings around him,
Nighttime had fallen,
The moon and stars were visible in the sky,
Upon the land masses of various vegetation were up ahead,
As Nate put the clip back into his gun he began to walk over until something had caught his eye and stopped him in his tracks,
To the right wasn't a very pleasant sight but seeing this Nate knew he was on the right path,
Wooden posts had been set up from many years ago on this plot of land,
Hanging from these posts were rusted oddly shaped metal cages and inside were the decaying skeletons of pirates,
How they all got in those cages is a mystery worth finding out,
After seeing this horrfic display Nate looked back to make sure he wasn't being spied or followed, He pulled back the slide on his gun and carried on forward,
Rays of moonlight were peering through into the dense jungle which he approached,
Darkness awaited for anyone who entered.
During all this Nate thought back to his private talk with Victor Sullivan proposing the idea of this new adventure,
He didn't know whether or not he regretted his decision,
'So...what do you think?', Nate asked his old friend and mentor who gave a worrying expression,
'...It's a lot to take in kid...Where do I even start...You've been out of the game for a long time, and maybe I need to remind you the kind of people we'll be crossing here', Sully warned him,
'Sully I know the risks, but come on it's a sure-fire plan', Nate argued,
Sully sighed, 'Yeah...If there's one thing I've learned all these years is that there's no such thing has a sure-fire plan',
'I don't really have an option here, you know that...and yet maybe you're right I have been out of the game but...I need to get back in. So can I count you...one last time?' Nate tried to appeal to him and Sully thought for a moment until he gave his answer,
'Alright kid, let's go do it. One last time.'
