Kaitlin fluffed out her pink bedhead. "A great way to start off the day," she thought, "is with a bit of music."
She grabbed her guitar with her new Hufflepuff strap that she'd ordered from Diagon Alley just a few days ago, and slung it across her body. All of her other roommates were already at breakfast, including her girlfriend Hannah Abbot, so she softly began to sing a song that she'd once heard on the Muggle radio.
"...Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now..."
After she finished her song, she wiped her eyes and laid her guitar gently back down in the case. The song had always moved her here. In this world of magic, Christian beliefs were hard to uphold, but that song always brought her back. She quickly brushed her wild and gorgeous pink hair and threw on her robes so that she could run down to the Great Hall to grab some breakfast before classes. She saw Hannah in the corridor on her way down, and gave her a quick peck on the lips, shouting "See you in Potions!" as she turned back to running to breakfast.
