A La Yo!bling

By: Jade of Purple

This is what I thought should have happened in the episode A La Cart.

And as usual I don't own them, but I wish I did:)

----------------------------

Catherine and Warrick were alone in the new restaurant called Blind. A place where the customers dine in the dark.

As Cathrine labeled some bagged evidence, Warrick noticed something in the corner of his eye. He bent down beside one of the tables and picked up a pair of night vision goggles from underneath it. He stood up as he removed the attached head piece.

"Could you turn off the lights for a second?" He asked.

Catherine looked slightly confused as she picked up the remote for the lights and pushed the button that made the room completely dark.

She let out a small chuckle as she blindly looked around in the darkness. "I'm sorry, but this is a stupid idea for a restaurant. I like to see what I'm eating."

As she was saying this, Warrick was busy putting on the night vision goggles. With them on he knew exactly where she was, and hesitated only a second before making his way closer to her.

"I can see you just fine." He said with a mischievous smile.

Catherine quickly turned around, surprised to hear his voice so close; and slightly annoyed that her heart chose now to start beating faster.

"Where are you?" Her eyes darted left and right as she looked around nervously trying to figure out his location.

"Right here." His voice was low and it sounded as if he was teasing her.

Unsure what else to do she reached out her hand and felt something infront of her. In an instant she knew that it was Warrick's chest that she felt beneath her finger tips.

"Oh," She whispered as her fingers lingered.

Warrick took off the goggles and stood there trying hard to remind himself that they were still at a crime scene; but the effect that her touch had on him was making it a little hard to breathe much less think straight.

'Come on man, snap out of it.' He thought to himself even as he reached out for her.

Catherine was about to switch the lights back on but hesitated when she felt his hand on her waist. Then she felt him slightly lean into her, closing the gap between their bodies.

Blood raced through her viens as she felt his breath against her neck. A silent battle began to rage within her as she fought to choose between her better judgement and her desires. 'Now is not the right time,' she told herself, but was unable to stop from lightly touching his lips with hers.

"Later," She whispered as if she were making a promise.

She then started to pull away from him.

"I don't think I could handle another almost kiss." Warrick said before pulling her back to him and meeting her lips with his.

The End
