Forget
By: Juliet Taylor
She sighed as she looked at the picture frame. It was a picture of her and Mamo-Chan, wait scratch that make that her and Mamoru-San. They were so in love, but then it all started to fall apart. Their perfect love story died, and there was nothing she could do about it.
She didn't mean to yell at him. She just did. It happened everyday. They would fight over stupid things, but that day was the worst fight. He just got up and left her. Left her all alone in this empty, cold house. She knew he wasn't coming back as much as she'd want him to. What would he come back for? For their late night fights, or the cool atmosphere after. She doubted it. A lonely tear fell down and kissed her cheek as she read the messy writing down in her lap.
'January 15,
Remember how we used to be?
The way we used to know what we were thinking,
What we were feeling?
How we never really needed any words
We could just read each other, so easily?
Remember how we used to talk?
The way it was so natural
Like I could tell you anything?
Where the silence was comfortable
And we could just be us?
Remember how we used to kiss?
The way are lips danced across each other
And the whole world disappeared?
The passion and the sweetness that stayed
And the comfort through it all?
Remember how we used to love?
The way it was so pure
And invincible?
The smiles, the laughs, the happiness,
And the way nothing and no one could've changed it?
But remember all the tears?
The way it hurt so much to cry
And I didn't want to say goodbye?
The screams that we heard
And the pain that we felt?
Remember all the hurt?
The way the heavens could hear us yell
And the tension after it?
The tears pouring down my cheeks
And the cracks on my heart?
Remember all the fights
That would lead to my destruction?
The way you would
Step on my heart like it was nothing
And the nights that I spent all alone?
Remember the day you left?
They way you got so fed up,
Packed up all your things,
And left me there
Heartbroken and empty?
All I want now is to forget.'
She really wanted to forget all that was happening to her. She didn't want to live. Not without him. Never without him. She picked up the silver blade and frowned. All she needed to do was strike the blade and then she would forget all those painful memories. Within a second there was tiny pool of blood trailing onto the kitchen floor. She gasped and soon she forgot. Just like she wished for.
