Casey refuses to quit. Not if something is important to her. When she thinks she should have gotten a better grade, she fights for it.
Sure, it earned her a lame reputation, but even that didn't matter. I wish she'd pick something cooler to obsess about, but the fact that she is so into to her schoolwork is something I guess I respect - not that I'd ever tell her that.
But I guess it's like hockey with me. Scoring a goal? Winning a game? That is the highest high I have ever felt. And if getting good grades it what Casey really wants, I'm glad she won't take no for an answer.

Casey can't wait to get her license. Not because it'll make it more convenient for her to go shopping with Emily – although I'm sure that will be a big deal. Casey wants to travel. She wants to see all the parts of Canada she hasn't seen, but she wants to travel to the States, too.
She wants to see New York City, the Alamo, and a bunch of educational crap that I don't care about. But she knows how important all that crap is, and she can't wait to see it. She wants to be cultured. She wants to learn more. And if it'll get her out of the house for long periods of time, well, that's good for me.

The way she gets so happy when she finally finishes a big project. Sure, she's a pain in the ass while she works all day and night on a huge presentation or forces the family to watch her dance routine over and over again, but that satisfied, happy smile she gets is one of the times she looks truly happy.
Not forced happy, conditionally happy, but truly content. She does good work, and she knows it. I don't think there is any better feeling for her than finally getting something done, and getting it done right.

The way that she cares. She has causes that are important to her, even if they don't seem too important to me. She's all about raising money, getting people involved, making sure people are aware of what is going on around her.
Like when Nora needed helped with that school fundraiser – even though it took Casey awhile, she ended up helping out and raising tons of money. And when she tried to talk to me about the 'issues' when I was running for president – I could care less about recycling or the cleanliness of the guy's bathroom, but she at least made people take notice.
I guess that's not a horrible trait to have, right?
