Hey there! This is my first fanfiction. I decided to do something about Mr. Driller because I've noticed there aren't any stories about it! So I wrote about my favorite lil' couple in the games: Susumu and Anna.

It was a peaceful morning, the sun shined strongly while the wind brushed against the trees and grass. The birds chirping away as they soared through the sky.
"Good morning, Susumu-San!"
The boy slowly rose out of bed and rubbed his eyes. "Good morning, Puchi~." He said with a soft smile, he jumped out and quickly changed into his pink and blue drilling suit. "Hey, Susumu-San? Did you know that Anna secretly has a crush on you?" Susumu froze as a tiny blush formed across his face. "W-What?"
"Yeah! Woof! She totally does! She's always around you and gets all embarrassed when we talk about it." The dog let out a small laugh. "B-But that can't be possible. We're just friends! She couldn't POSSIBLY have a crush on me!" Susumu seemed confused about this, Why would his own rival secretly have that sort of affection toward him? He grabbed his drill and opened his front door. "W-Well I better go now, See 'ya later Puchi!" He said before leaving his house, waving.
Susumu arrived at the Drilling site he usually works at. Right there he noticed… Anna? She seemed to be …writing something in a book? He walked up to greet her. "Hey, Anna~! What'cha doing?" Anna blushed upon hearing his voice. "O-Oh! H-Hey Susumu~! I-It's nothing important!" Susumu noticed something rather… odd about her. "Anna? Are you sure? …Your face is all red." Anna's face only became more redder. "I-I have to go…" She quickly ran away, dropping her book on the ground. Susumu, obviously noticing grew curious… He carefully opened the book and looked for what she was acting all strange about. What he saw made his heart skip a beat.
"His smile always makes me happy. He's always nice around me. He's been a caring friend through and through. "Susumu" I love him. Yes I do…"
Susumu stood there, frozen. He couldn't believe it. She DID have a crush on him! "H-Hey! Give that back!" Susumu then snapped out of his thoughts and saw Anna standing in front of him. He handed the book back to her with a blush on his face. "What is wrong with you?! Do you know how rude it is to read other peoples things?!" Susumu stayed silent. Anna's face of anger than started to disappear until it was a blush of embarrassment. She slowly turned her back and walked away, Looking back at him once more with a bright red face. That day while drilling, Susumu couldn't stop thinking about her.
